Hasn't Snizzle been relatively successful pinch hitting this year?

Tied for the major league lead in pinch hits. If he had a little more power he'd be a weapon off the bench.

Yeah, I'd be curious to see his PH stats vs. his starting stats #toolazytolook

.228 when starting, .263 as a pinch hitter.

Melancon ends the game by striking out CarGo and getting a weak grounder from Tulo. Too bad he gave up a flare that dropped in- otherwise we might think he's good.

To the Angels for four prospects... I mean he would've helped but that's a ton for someone having a career year. And a rental at that.

He's had a few adventures lately. 3.86 ERA in his last 10 games but I'll take him.

Well he has been good for more than one year and he wouldnt be a rental. He has a club option for next season. I dont think the Angels gave up any top prospects but I'm not sure really.

$7M for a relief pitcher would be a dumb option for the Pirates to activate. He'd be a rental.

Lindsay was arguably their best prospect. Padres did good in the move. Glad the Pirates didnt push at that price

Padres got a good haul and upgraded their closer at the same time. Setup man is an issue now though.

It's only two games but so far it looks like Gaby has gotten himself back on track since the break. And Tulo limped out of the game so there's a big hole in the Rockies lineup.
