Pretty sure we don't have a Pitt specific thread for the new season at this point, but DE Ejuan Price once again out for the season after having surgery to repair his torn left pec. Last year was a neck injury. Year before was a torn right pec.

Zeise and sam werner were on 93.7 driven by #1 cochran hyundai last night. They both argreed that it wouldnt be totally surprising if pitt contended/won the ACC Coastal division.

Some things change, some things stay the same.

Well, someone not named UVA is going to be less of a train wreck than the other teams and win the Coastal. It could very well be Pitt.

Pitt finished to finish fif out of six teams in the coastal division.

A healthy reminder that everyone thinks pitt stinks. Probably because Pitt may stink, even though we are all lathering ourselves up over a potential Coastal division title.

They finished 6th out of 7th, in the preseason polls, but the Coastal voting was extremely close outside of UVA.

I personally don't think they will win the division, they are Pitt and like to crap the bed, but I also don't think they will finish 6th, and if they do, it will be due to a giant cluster f where everyone finished 4-4 or something and they lose the tie breakers.

http://www.footballstudyhall.com/2014/8 ... redictions

Honestly, I hate that I have a boring answer for this one, but ... I have a boring answer. Florida State should be great and has a clear enough schedule that they should get to 12-1 relatively easily. Alabama should be great (or close to it) and hosts Auburn; the Tide have the inside track on the SEC title and, therefore, an all-but-automatic playoff bid. While UCLA, USC, and Washington will certainly have something to say about it, the odds are still pretty good that the Stanford-Oregon winner will win the Pac-12, and even if Stanford hits the postseason at 11-2, the Cardinal's schedule strength is absurd and will probably get them in (barring a rash of undefeateds). And the two most likely candidates for the fourth spot are Ohio State and Oklahoma.

The wailing from the B10 would be delicious if they had a one-loss team miss the playoffs in favor of a one-loss team like FSU, OU, or any of the PAC-12 teams (let alone a 2-loss Stanford team).

Pitt will be fun to watch if for no one else than Tyler Boyd. Kid is worth the price of admission alone.

gonna be interesting to have hopefully some good qb play this year too. Not that Savage was bad, but to have someone be able to grow into the role.

How have public organizations not yet learned their lesson about #AskInsertPersonHere? From FSU's #AskJameis:

Heath Holland ‏@Holly_wood_69 2h #AskJameis you have the choice of crab legs and a non-consenting woman.. Which legs do you try to open first?

NFL Memes ‏@NFL_Memes 3h
How do you expect to evade the nations top defenses when you couldn't even evade Publix's? #AskJameis

Jay J @el_hombre_rojo
#AskJameis how many syllables have to be in a word before you completely give up on pronouncing it?
11:21 AM - 10 Aug 2014

Courtney @Courtney_Clare
Which sentence do you think you'll complete first, one in English, or one for a crime you've committed? #AskJameis
10:56 AM - 10 Aug 2014 South Carolina, USA, United States

@J_Dizzle383: Which undefeated streak will end first? On the field or in the courtroom? #AskJameis

@eric_schafer84: #AskJameis when a woman says "no" what does she really mean?

What's easier to get rid of; crabs you just lifted from Public or crabs you picked up from an unconscious chick you just banged? #AskJameis

@Two_Hand_Texan: #AskJameis who do you think has the best defense Publix, Kroger, or Walmart

@Jamaicanhitman: Which group protects you better, FSU offensive line or the Tallahassee PD? #AskJameis

@Cambroliving: After getting away with high profile rape & theft, what crime will you commit to complete your triple crown?

@NDfan80: Jameis, you went 13-0 on the football field and 2-0 in the court system, what was your overall record?

@claytravisBGID: Maybe the Tallahassee Police and hop on #AskJameis and finally question him.

The mere mention of WVU would sent EPP into meltdown mode.

I had to remind him multiple times that I went to wvu and am a fan because he would flip on me if I wasn't complimentary enough of them in posts. I guess he just assumed I was ripping them
