As a fellow ACCer, you shouldn't be providing any publicity for that third rate conference. :slug:

Hatin' ass Spurrier is the best:

"Can't say I'm surprised Penn State won that Dublin game. They're used to playin for a crowd that doesn't understand modern football."

Just because we use a fullback and play some semblance of defense doesn't mean you gotta hate.

Some rumblings about the Penn State sanctions saga:

According to a Lion’s Pride source within the walls of the NCAA offices, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Penn State head coach James Franklin was given two choices in regards to a further reduction of the historic sanctions levied upon the football program two summers ago. According to the source, the options were:

1.) Keep the scholarship limitations as they currently are and receive, effective immediately, an end to the bowl ban (meaning that the already-in-place gradual scholarship plan would continue, but Penn State would be eligible to compete in a bowl game starting this current season); or

2.) Receive, effective immediately, an end to the scholarship reductions and receive a one-year reduction of the bowl ban (meaning that Penn State would not be eligible for post-season play this current season but would be next season).

Lion’s Pride believes that Franklin was and is very much in favor of option 2.

Not surprised Franklin would choose option 2, but lifting the bowl ban would appear to be an immediate appeasement of the sanctions to the masses of ESPN following luddites, and it's always so nice to rile them up.

I'm sure Franklin will start his own hooker ring up there and get PSU in trouble again.

Do you have a link DTMB? Also, I suggest moving it to the PSU thread. Slappy is the only one stupid enough to venture in there, Pittheads like nan stay out of there.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was a good line, and its from a general college football site written by a Florida grad. Reacting to it with HERP WE PLAY GOOD D AND USE A FULLBACK is silly and that's why I wrote what I did to DTMB. You can dismiss this as the opinion of a deranged Pitt fan, but UPS fans are generally viewed as humorless by lots of people, not just PEE EYE TEE TEE fans.

The letter, which was forwarded to us by an alum who received it, begins with some Thought Catalog-y hemming and hawing about free speech and all points of view being valuable, but it eventually arrives at its purpose: a plea to Penn State truthers to stop acting like crazy people.

Here's a link for anyone that just wants to read the letter itself, without any "editorializing" and without the words "crazy" or "truthers"

Well, why don't you tell me c2i, in your estimation as a member of the PSU community, what's the purpose in issuing that letter?
