The ticket would be to use your hammock posts.

I'll pm you some pics of mine when I get to work tomorrow

Or you could share them with all of us...

get those pictures up, movie night got moved to Friday because of the rain on Saturday night. Way things are going, I should just hire mac to stand on my swingset and hold the screen for 2 hours.

also, i still have the smaller indoor screen that is shown in the links, eddy. the blackout cloth might need cleaned, but you can have it if you want it. its just sitting in my man cave and i sold my projector when the little one was on the way--gotta pretty much what i paid for it so it was a no brainer at the time. i can send you some pics of that in its current condition with measurements if you or anybody else is interested.

Yes, that link is probably what I'd like to do. With the date getting pushed up to tomorrow, looks like I'll be busy tonight. My guess is I'm going to buy the cloth and stretch it over the playset, then just staple it to the side and then build a proper one when I have more time.

if you want it quick and dirty, staple the blackout cloth to the backside of one of the hammock posts, wrap it around the front, over to the other one, and staple it to the back side. if you yank it evenly, youll get a pretty solid surface.

That's a pretty good idea. Say I did build the frame tonight, how would you hang it between the posts (i believe they are 126" wide) or on the playset?

in the outside picture i have above i built that picture frame to cover up the hanger joists (like youd use for decking) i put behind it. the frame sits in the hangar joists and i put handles on it so i could take it down and put it inside during the winter.

i dont have pictures of it and i dont live at that house anymore to take them.

mosquito's are not a factor with bourbon (until the next morning).

Can you let this blackout cloth sit out in the elements for a while or do you need to take care of it after you watch a flick?

i bought a cheap tarp/bungees and wrapped it when i wasnt using it to keep it out of the rain.

the cloth will stain a yellowish hue if it gets a lot of moisture, but i would tarp it and leave it out all summer and bring it in for the winter.

you can, but you still need to hold the screen just as a backup precaution. I also just acquired a 110" pull down screen for nothing, so this was all for nothing, but I enjoyed the comments.

ViewSonic PJD5533w or Viewsonic Pro 8400. Free to borrow from work, so I can't complain. Even though the first one is smaller, it gets better reviews than the pro, so I'll probably go with that.
