Bucs get Antonio Bastardo back from Mets; Mets get Jon Niese back.

What a terrible trade Niese was. The Pirates give up Walker for that stiff Niese. Then realizing he is terrible trade him back to the mets for a guy they could have easily signed. Great moves Pirates!! (sarcasm)

In the baseball sim OOTP '17 the first thing I did was reverse this trade. Of course, I had to put it in commissioner mode and 'force trade' to get it to go through...

Anyone can be traded after the deadline. However, they must be exposed to waivers, which are revocable.
- If a team claims a player on waivers, they can work out a trade. If no trade can be worked out, the player's waiver status can be revoked.
- If a player clears waivers, they can be traded to ANY team.
As far as deadline for playoff eligibility-no clue.
As far as waiver order- no clue.
I believe the Bucs put a claim in SRod.
