Yeah, I don't get this. It's not like last time where he was all screwed up - he's starting a solo tour tomorrow. He had said he wanted to put out new material with STP.
We've been playing the same greatest hits set since we got back together. I'd like to make a new record. It will breathe new life into the group.

Everyone bashes the STP/Cage The Elephant show back in 2010 at Starlake. Usually the reason is cause the PA was not loud enough on the lawn. I clearly don't see how this was the bands fault. That show was great....right down to the setlist. Second time I saw them...the setlist was identical and the pace of the songs slowed down dramatically. Never the less great band and great singer.

I've heard that too. It's a shame, because the sound was great in the pavilion. It was a strange bill though. The crowd didn't seem too familiar with or particularly appreciative of CTE. I went primarily to see them. 8-)

I think the fact he was addressing the lip synch accusation led to a more motivated performance.

I went to the Muse show in Cleveland last night. I kind of can't believe how good the show was. In fact, I almost feel like the dude had to be lip syncing for much of the night, that is how good the vocals sounded. I only knew a handful of songs, but they definitely know how to handle a large stage. Great lighting. And I always have a soft spot for three piece bands.

The Who to return for makeup concert -- 33 years later

Turns out, Hedtler and Ball were not alone. Thirty-two tickets from 1979 with face values of $11.50 and $12.50 were exchanged for the $129.50 seats being sold today.

One of those tickets belongs to Stephen Ball's sister, Louise. She was in the 11th-grade at the time of that canceled date with her brother and the Who.

On Tuesday, she turns 50.

I saw them play the side stage at the Curiosa festival back in I think 2004. I remember being somewhat impressed with the quality of sound, but i'm just not huge on the style. I respect them, just not really into it.

Yeah. Muse aren't very original, but I definitely respect how technically talented they are. And their sound crew is obviously great.

Yeah, maybe it's such a novelty for greensburg to get a fancy concert, they can get locals to pay that much.

Not as much as these guys were, however:

Spoiler:

speaking of your favorite black flag tribute band, I found this today

I guess this is their lead singer's post-Bl'ast doom metal project. It's not terrible but it's interchangeable like most artists in the genre. There's another band that two members of Bl'ast were in as recently as last year that I'm trying to find. Maybe I'll look for it later.

The Palace actually pulls a good number of concerts. I usually notice a fair share of signs on the side of the road advertising everything from 60s bands to Primus. Usually tickets aren't too bad, but 60 seems a bit high for that show.

What I didn't know about that RATM video was that the person who had this was sitting on this footage for two decades before posting it to youtube within the last week or two.
