Ill be the man sweating his ass off playing avenged sevenfold/hard rock covers behind the kit. Not having a wife or life for almost 2 years really helps the chops. Donna a will also be in there. Come say hi...ill sweat on you and buy you a brew.
Almost considered coming down but have a race in the morning. The last time I drove to one with a hangover (which was also an almost 3 hr drive btw), it was bad times.
Shoulda came down...good times and tunes were had for all.
You most definitely must have some pretty solid chops to be playing some Avenged Sevenfold. I never had the legs for metal drumming -- just couldn't get the double-bass consistency going. Probably why I naturally gravitated to more jazz/funk stuff

Keith Morris (lead singer of Black Flag/Off) filled in for Red Hot Chili Peppers singer, Anthony Kiedis during one of the band's shows in the mid-80s. When Kiedis, who was off scoring drugs, failed to show up for the performance, the band asked Morris to fill in on vocals. Morris, who didn't know any of the lyrics, yelled and made up lyrics to the band's songs to get through the performance.
