If you would have said present me an image of what Glenn Danzig's house looks like, this would be it.

According to the restraining order, Elson alleges that White went so far as to demand she request the kids be pulled from a class at their private school, because he didn't want them attending class with the child of another entertainer he believes "ripped off" his music. In a similar incident, the report also claims that an angered White harassed Elson for attending the wedding of a second "rival musician," who he believes also "ripped off" his music, and who is not named in the order.

Jack White and most rock musicians make their living off of "ripping off" other's music.

Who would want to rip off The White Stripes? I mean, is it really stealing if it's only a 4/4 kick drum beat with a 2 riff transition?

Music doesn't need to be complex to be good. Go listen to 70's progressive rock (which I do like) if that is your main criteria of what is good.

No no no...don't get me wrong. Complexity does not make good music. I just remember their first 2 hits were the same exact 4/4 kick drum beat. I made my mind up right there. However, after watching "It Might Get Loud" my respect for Jack White went WAY up.

The fact that Jack White was able to drag possibly the worst rock drummer of all time through three strong albums (one of which is now considered a modern classic) should be enough to solidify his ability. Meg White makes Ringo look like Terry Bozzio, yet his guitar is good enough to relatively drown out her complete and utter incompetency.

Nobody ever said Meg White was a virtuoso, including Meg and Jack. Are you people R'n'R or what?

Ringo didn't need to be a virtuoso. Especially for pop music, you don't need (or want) the drums to be too complicated anyway. He did some good work on Come Together, Rain, The End, and also Oh Darling, for sure.

The comment wasn't meant to degrade Ringo as much as it was meant to make fun of Meg...

The style of music the Beatles and White Stripes played, you didn't need Buddy Rich or whomever behind the kit. The 2 bands don't use the drums as the back bone, it more or less kept a 4/4 rhythm in time and were in the background of the songs. This espically in the case of the White Stripes. The Beatles wonder and talent was more in the big 3 and there words and riffs and experimentation as opposed to a fancy drum beat. Ill let this Family Guy clip explain Ringos place in the band.

Heading to Detroit tomorrow with my buddy for Sabbath. Currently on Master of Reality on the turntable. Having a listening party by myself today of all 9 Ozzy albums on the turntable.

I know the first CD i bought was that primus one with the beaver song. I can't remember the cassette. Probably something real stupid, thinking either rod stewart or that bryan adams song from robin hood.

I think it was Depeche Mode's The Singles 1981-85. No wait, I believe I bought their single It's Called a Heart before I bought the album.

Update on revisiting all these classic/iconic albums. I just don't think I like the Fall, I couldn't really get into any of those suggestions. I think that one that was considered the most produced, was what I thought the most of.

Wire is awesome, i knew i liked them, but "sand in my joints" is basically the ideal "rock" song for me.

I'll report back with more opinions on this stuff and everyone's suggestions over time.
