New Five Finger Death Punch album is solid. I actually like this one the most. Plus Rob Halford is on track 1.

Pyrrhon sounds nearly like what the Red Chord should have become after Dreaming in Dog Years.

I've seen him probably 50 times with the Allman Brothers band, but I get the same feeling on those days that we all get when we post the "can't concentrate at work threads"...

Spoiler:

how was it? I've been lucky and have seen him a few times live. He is amazing.

new superchunk album is streaming online...
http://www.npr.org/2013/08/11/209603080 ... t=1&f=1039

i really like it. a much more consistent record than their last couple. maybe a bit less hook driven punky stuff... kind of sounds appropriately grown up.

This more I listen to Pyrrhon the more I like it. Entire album is available on Bandcamp

Gives me a The End and Ion Dissonance feel at times too. Very eerie at times.

I saw them play this live for the first time in years (or maybe, ever, can't remember) in Albany in 2006... one of three shows I saw on that tour, including pretty much my nirvana of concerts in a PJ/Tom Petty & Heartbreakers 2-night stand in Denver.

BTW, QOTSA - Are you lookin to get rid of tickets? PM me if so, *might* be interested.

Saw that yesterday morning on twitter, definitely a shame. They are an excellent band that never made much of a dent over here in the states.

I'm just gonna go on record here and say I always despised Pearl Jam. Same with Nirvana. Loved Soundgarden and AIC though although Soundgarden's new one's underwhelming.

I pretty much feel the same way. Hate Pearl Jam. Hate Nirvana. Dig AIC and Soundgarden.

I don't care for Pearl Jam or Soundgarden, but liked AIC (with Layne) and Nirvana.
