Using my system, the East yields some surprising results. However, many of the matchups are extremely close, so I'll use that as my excuse if it goes awry :D .

Senators vs Lightning. Tampa bay has huge advantages in clsoe games and in coaching (Bryan Murray has traditionally been a terrible playoff coach), so in a shocker, I'm going with the Lightning in 7. Now, if Hasek were to miraculously return, this pick would change.

Hurricanes vs Canadiens. Gainey will coach circles around LaViolette. They also have the hotter goalie. Habs in 7.

Devils vs Rangers. Devils are red hot and have Marty Bordeur. New Jersey in 6.

Sabres vs Flyers. Buffalo's edge in special teams is the difference here. Sabres in 7.
