NHL 09- xbox360 - LGP EASHL team

Postby crayz on Tue Aug 19, 2008 12:25 pm

I know there have been a few posts before...but with the game coming out in just a few weeks, i'd like to start prepping.

We need a few leaders for the team, I would be interested in helping but not the #1 guy. So if you are interested, please reply here.

We can have 50 people on the team...I figure the breakdown something like this:

25 forwards / 19 defense / 6 goalies

I know everyone can play any position, but I think if we structure it like this, we will be in pretty good shape.

If you would like to join the team, please reply here with the preferred position and if you would be interested in being a leader of the team.

Current roster:

Think you might want to make it less than 50?

36 guys would mean 18 guys taking turns to play?

I figure some will be semi-active...And i'm not sure if the same team can be playing multiple games at one time? Anyone know about that?

im pretty sure that a team can have multiple games going on at once. all the stats for the team go back to the team though. so if you have two of your squads playing, and they both win, your team is 2-0

I need to pick-up a crossover cable so I can get my 360 online again. I moved into in new apartment using only wireless internet that my neighbor and I split the bill for. So, I haven't been online in a while but, I should be good to go when the game comes out.

I would perfer to play forward, but if everyone ends up wanting to do that than I will play as a defenseman.

Hey guys looks like this team is coming together. When the rosters are finalized we'll have to set up some gms between our teams. I am playing for the United Leagues.com team.

I'd be interested in taking the helm and organizing it when it gets down to it. I have a few other guys that I'm sure will be interested but don't post here.

I'm just unsure of how the league is going to work, how to get the team in, etc.

You have a team of up to 50 players and you can have multiple games going on.

6 people can play one game

6 people can play another game

You can have a huge rotation of players playing every night or every other night.

You can also use your Be A Player Player and it ranks up your play on how you play in teamplay.

It keeps statistics on everything, Top teams are selected by EA to be involed in a tournament to compete for PRIZES.

Its gonna be tight.

I would be in, but I really can't stand playing sports games online. So basically I wouldn't ever be in.

Count me in. I can play forward or D.

Forward would probably be more fun, but I'm the only person I know that can play effective defense in NHL.

From what I have read, it is pretty much is going to be like a guild on an MMO. You have a roster of people who are on the "team" and if enough are online you can start up a game against another team.

I am sure that when it comes out we can have a huge thread on here to figure everything out.

Actually thats not right. The offline and online modes will be kept entirely seperate.

Also, everyone interested in playing should definitely read this article. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/897/897903p2.html

I am uncontrolablly excited for this. This crossover cable better let me get online or I am going to freak out.

Alright, I have a buddy thats in for D as well.

I assume that we'll be able to create Jersey's, etc.

When the time comes, I'll PM everyone on here and get the names of those interested. It appears, from what I'm reading, there are no line changes. It's a straight six vs. a straight six. We'll organize games on the board and go from there.

Is anyone going to use their real name for their Be A Pro? I'm already dreaming up devlishly handsome finnish youngster with an absurd name.
