No, I'm typically pretty confident in these other things.

I've just been burned on Pitt so much, there is no confidence in any move they do. And that will carry over to the ACC as a whole.

Geno up 9 on Stamkos, and 11 on Giroux. Giroux needs to average 2 pts per game over his last 6 games and have Geno score no points to win it. So barring injury, I think he is offically out of the mix.

Yeah, I was watching that. I saw Stamkos going down the right side, there was a Flyer right by him though. The anouncers said the players on the bench were screaming to pass it to Stamkos.

It was probably one of those things where if he knew there was only 3 seconds left, he would have passed it. But probably not knowing that, he went the safe route and scored the goal to seal the game, which ultimately is the right move.

I think the saddest part of this whole thing is that the barring a late surge from Stamkos the NHL will only have ONE 100-point scorer and ONE (maybe two) 50-goal scorer this year. Comparing the stat page from 05-06 to this year makes me want to cry.

By comparison, only 11 players who have played over 60 games this season are on a PPG pace compared to 35 in 05-06, 32 in 06-07, 24, 22, 21, and 14 last year. From the names it looks like a lot of old blood is being washed out, hopefully the younger guys will start taking over. Still, that's a little scary.

That's not really much different than it's been the past couple years, though. I don't think comparing numbers to 05-06 is a good thing because scoring was inflated the first year or two coming out of the lockout because they were calling everything a penalty. Obviously, they mysteriously stopped calling penalties since around Christmas-time this season but I don't think that's depressed the league leaders because 50 goal and 100 point guys have been rare for a few seasons now. I think one reason is simple - Crosby missed big chunks of time the last two seasons and Malkin missed a bunch last year too. Those are two of the guys who would normally be putting up those kinds of numbers.

Neal's at 37. Barring a dry spell he ought to get it.

Geno 9 back of Stamkos, almost untouchable but not impossible. Would take no more from 91 and 2 a game from Geno. Slim at best - it may be more likely that Stamkos is dry the rest of the year than it is Geno catches the 9 goals.
