The NHL needs to latch onto this.

Show how Mickey Mouse the operations of leagues in inferior countries (to the U.S.) can be.

Then tell the fans how "At least the NHL isn't that bad."

Sort of like how when somebody says "at least it doesn't taste like *#!$" as if that's a compliment.

Knowing the majority of the idiotic fans in the league (aka the ones who thought the brawl on the Island last year was the best thing ever), they'd welcome something like this.

That was just stupid. And we wonder why in general hockey doesn't grow enough as a sport.
The game that requires the most skill combined with a constant flow of action that is both fast and tough.

Yet it is things like this that the average person will remember.

Just play the Olympics year round some can see hockey how it was meant to be played.

How hasn't an opponent taken a swing with their stick and broken some of these guys fingers? I feel like if I knew this was going to happen against me where guys were going to assault me and my teammates and the league condoned it, I'd just pre-empt it by breaking someone's ankle or fingers. Either that or Bertuzzi someone since the league seems to enjoy that sort of thing.
