Reading about Ken Morrow's decision to put his Miracle on Ice sweater up for auction:http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_d ... hl,wp23049
Seems a little strange. I can understand reaching a point in life where a player might decide that it is time to part with some of the memorabilia from their career, but this is such a unique and special thing. Wouldn't you want to keep that in your family? Or maybe he needs the cash?
Always thought that Morrow had one of the coolest stories from the 1980 team. He went from receiving an Olympic gold medal the last Sunday in February, to making his NHL debut (vs Pens) the following Sunday, to winning a Stanley Cup just a few months later.
