But he wasn't invited as Tim Thomas, private citizen. He was invited because the team he plays on was.

I see a lot of reasons people think they would go. I have nothing against Obama personally and I have no strong political beliefs. I also have little interest in meeting Obama or ever going to the White House.

Most corporate setting don't like when you have an opinion. They don't want you to think just obey. Im proud of him for making that statement. I just wish more people were aware of what is actually happening in this country.

Will this little personal protest by Thomas result in some different treatment by fans in Boston and other cities? Will he hear extra cheers from conservatives and boos and scorn from liberals? Whatever it is, he brought it on himself, but he probably took that into consideration.

If you want to see the White House as a tourist, you have to wait in line for several hours and you end up seeing like four rooms. I bet the Bruins will get a better tour than the tourists get.

Thomas is moving up my list of favorite people. It's nice to see a player stand up for his rights to not associate with people he doesn't like. And I suppose if I had millions of dollars in the bank, I'd be doing much the same.
