16 goals? Really? I haven't really watched too many Flyers games this year but man......where was this the past two seasons?

Trying to impress new team, new city. He will come back down to earth next year.

Unfortunately for Pens he will always get "up" for games against us and bring a playoff effort in every meeting....even if he slumps or slacks against other teams.

His production went down under Bylsma. ...except in the playoffs when he was given/earned a bigger role.

That and I believe the Flyers have a more offensive system.

From what little Flyers hockey Ive seen he has a bigger role on the team (power play, etc) than he did in Pittsburgh where he was mostly a checker/PK guy. He's also just turned 28, which is right in the age range when most players have their most productive seasons.

Its actually the age when most players' (who are considered scorers) stats begin to decline or plateau.

talbot hasn't cared about the regular season since 2008. congratulations on being learning how to be a professional, max. though we'll see how he does when he stops feeling like he needs to make a good impression.

Also helps that he is probably 100% healthy, i believe he was dealing with shoulder issues from our first cup run for a long time

There's a very good chance the Pens will face PHI in the first round. I wouldn't doubt if Max gets assigned to dog Malkin and Fleury.

While Max was not an offensive standout, he certainly had less goals here becuase of his role. I remember him having quite a few goals in juniors. As long as he doesn't hurt us in the playoffs, good for him.

The flyers build around a pure offensive philosophy. They are much less defensively disciplined and take many more chances. A player will almost always score more goals in philly because they can be a one-way player.
