Interesting. While Jack Johnson has been somewhat overrated in past years, he's on the upswing and hitting his prime and living up to his past billing now. Giving him and a #1 for Jeff Carter would be really desperate move on the Kings' part to get some potential scoring on their roster. Carter is way too erratic and has a very questionable compete level to give up that package for him, IMO.

Jack Johnson and a 1st for Jeff Carter looks like an awesome trade for CBJ to me.

Carter never wanted to be there and doesn't bring it on a consistent basis and is badly miscast as center to begin with. Jack Johnson is climbing up in the ranks of very good NHL dmen and starting to reach his high potential. Throw in a 1st rounder and how does Columbus lose on this trade?
