Bobby Lu willing to waive his no trade clause

Postby llipgh2 on Tue Apr 24, 2012 3:08 pm

For the good of the team. "It's about this group".

The group hates you, Borat.

Canucks tweet:

Luongo said he would waive his no trade clause if the team asked. "It's about this group."

If I'm Loungo, I'm hoping Vancouver buys me out and then I'd go sign with Chicago for 1 year 1million.

I'm actually surprised this photoshop resurfaced. This was one I did for TPB awhile back, but why is there a Green jersey on Luongoat?

James Duthie:

Sources say Roberto Luongo will submit a short list of teams he'd waive his no-trade to go to next week. Toronto will be on it.

Lol... he wants to go somewhere there is no pressure to win. At least in Toronto, they can blame the team, Kessel, Burke...whoever!

Yea, Toronto seems like the most "common sense" team to go to.

Steve Yzerman loves Roberto Luongo, maybe Tampa Bay can swing a deal while they see if Desjardins, Tokarski or (longshot) Janus pans out...Malone or Lecavalier or some salary piece going back...could be interesting if Yzerman presses for him.

Best place for Bobby Lu is to be back in some low expectation, low pressure NHL outpost like NYI or Florida. Columbus or Dallas maybe.

Why he would want to be in a high pressure environment like Toronto, I have no idea.

Awesome thing about it, is that I think Vancouver is going to get fleeced on the trade since it's a huge deal and they basically need to dump him.

GM Mike Gillis is denying reports Luongo submitted a list of teams, or that he'll even be traded.

According to James Mirtle's tweet:

We decided we're going to talk in a few days.
