Brodeur stops that shot 99/100. Modern goalies have trouble with it though...

Datsyuk has a WICKED quick release which is why Hiller never moved. Hiller gave him that corner and Pavel took it.

Question. I heard on NHLNetworkt his morning that Suban's teammates are getting sick of him in these playoffs.

I know the rumor has been there for a while, but has he done something in particular during Rd1?

I remember him screaming at Pacioretty. Someone gave him a buddy pass (don't know if it was Max) and Subban took his good, sweet time getting back to the bench creating a scoring chance in the other direction.

He just doesn't seem like a very likeable guy on the ice.

I think Hiller would've been able to stop it if he didn't go down. Stand-up goalie would've stopped that. Probably would've taken it in the collarbone, but still stopped it.

Nope. Some have some stand-up tendencies in there, but they are largely relics. Today, standing up to make a save isn't so much a style but a product of anticipating. Hiller makes a poor read and gets torched easily by a shot that gets stopped easily 20 years ago...

Last real stand-up was probably Kirk McLean or Bill Ranford I guess...

Watching US-Russia World Championship game on NBCSN. Bryz ducked out of the way of a Matt Hunwick slapper from the point and gave up a goal.

Sure, though how many skaters could snap a shot off that quickly with that much velocity from that angle? If TK tries that shot it goes 15 feet over the goal.

You could see him (and you don't have to be a lip reader) yelling about a "suicide pass" to Max P. What a ridiculous time to argue with another player. And its not like a forward is often in the postion of passing it forward to a Dman. This is the playoffs, and not having your head up will lead to you getting smoked because everyone is trying to hit everyone (or they should be on a good team).

Subban has a lot to learn yet, his attitude sucks.

Stand-up goalies went extinct like twenty years ago. That style couldn't survive in the NHL nowadays.

Well, on to rooting for the Sens. I can't believe I felt neutral about this series going in. That game 3 finally brought me back to hating the Habs and finally converted me to hating Subban. I am just appalled that Prust did not get suspended for his elbow to Conacher's head. Allowing all that crap to go in a blowout game with NOTHING? Love that MacLean called that timeout. Sorry, MT. Go Sens!

Guess I'll watch some OT now. Could care less who wins which is better than what I just watched. I actually got sick to my stomach watching that other games that just ended. I don't even want to know what my blood pressure went to.

Well that didn't take long. Is this going to be like last year where a lot of the lower seeds advance?

Habs need to pull this one out of their backsides after blowing a 2 goal lead in the 3rd and giving one up with 22 secs left.
