Montreal-Tampa seems like a lock, too.

Avs without Duchene...if the Hawks have Toews and Kane, they'll be fine...the Avs just don't have the horses on defense to ride in that race I don't think...though they've beaten them pretty good this season, a seven-game series is different...the big advantage that the Avs have is in net, Varlamov is capable of stealing a game and Crawford is capable of losing one by himself...you could lose two games right there...

He texted him about Zajac, but yeah, that wasn't the point of your post...just wanted to clarify...

It's been the Jagr and Zajac show tonight...

For all you fantasy keeper people out there...you should just see what it would take to get Nick Bjugstad away from whoever has him...he has stuck out like Blake Lively at a ugly convention in Florida this year...

Varlamov can definitely steal a game, but he's not a series changer. The big problem with the season is series is, yeah the Avs went 4-1, but they were outshot 199-117 in those games.

St Louis, who pretty much have the division wrapped up, playing against a desperate non conference team, and going toe to toe with them, and the crowd is in to it. They must not have downloaded the excuse app like other teams.

Wonder if losing that standings point will come back to haunt Columbus. Up 2-0 at home vs. Colorado after two periods, lost in OT.

That game looked like ours against Detroit a few weeks ago. Fairly certain 2, if not all 3, of Colorado's goals were scored off of Columbus defenders.

I think the flyers locked up the 3rd seed with that point tonight at the very least.

Not sure CBJ, NJ, or WAS can catch them now.

It's over, p05. I'm sorry.

We did everything we could to will them out of the playoffs. It wasn't enough. So, now we move on.

Man, they could make a channel solely devoted to Oshie shootout goals and I would watch it

There's only one goalie in the NHL better than Varlamov and that's Rask. I'm not sure who you're putting in the "steal a series" category amongst goalies, but unless your list is limited to Rask and Rask alone, I'm not sure how Varlamov doesn't qualify. Bishop has been great this year as well but Varlamov has the superior track record.

Whoa, I didn't realize how old Ben Bishop was. For some reason I thought he was younge than Varlamov. He's two years older.

Bishop has been around in the NHL for the last 5 years or so, no? Started with the Blues, went to Ottawa, then Tampa Bay?

Uh Nice call there ref....call back a goal that you shouldn't have. Boston should be up 1-0.

I am usually a pretty big ref defender, but that was really bad. Looks like it's a mute point as Boston got one anyway.

People talk about Boston's 4 lines are a big reason for their success, I'd argue it was more to do with their D. Seidenberg gets hurt You have guys like Krug, Bartkowski, Miller who step in and take like a fish to water. Their D is unreal.

So has Varlamov. That's why I thought he was a year or two younger.
