Awesome game and glad Chicago gets burned after Seabrook tries to kill Backes.

Not sure what others here think about him, but Backes is one of my non-Penguin favorites. Hope he doesn't miss any time but that was pretty nasty.

What's this I'm reading about Captain Intangibles taunting Backes while he was down? Or is that the usual exaggeration and hubris?

I saw Toews in there saying some things to Backes and Backes hopped up to defend his honor...but he was shaken and stirred...if I had to guess, Blackhawks players may have warned Backes to watch himself if he blows up some of their players (as Backes is a heavy hitter, as we know) that he's gonna get it. This might be Toews asking him if he learned to cool off or not...that's just my guess, I didn't hear what was said obviously...but that's my best guess...not saying it's wrong or right, just saying...

---

Meanwhile, Jackman scores one through Crawford on a puck that didn't reach the back of the net...never been a fan of Crawford, even back to his QMJHL days...key will be how he rebounds in game 3, he was coming unraveled in that one and that Tarasenko goal may have sunk his battleship...I just a get weird hunch that the Blues might be able to jump on him early in game 3 and really put the clamps down here...but that's a long way away...

I'm going to go with one game, just because he already got a 5 minute major and it's the playoffs, so any standards go out the window.

They were saying "principal point of contact" was probably the head on the broadcast. It looks like the only point of contact.

Will be interesting to see how it gets ruled with it being the first real decision since Shanny to TOR was official. You also have to factor in the playoff math and the fact he was thrown out of the game. Apparently that all matters when trying to separate a guy's head from his body.

Really soft, but you could see in his body language after the tying goal that he was going to let up a bad one in OT.

No offense but

That covers the gambit in terms of playoff punishment (sans Raffi Torres).

Think they will give him one game and count him being tossed on a major as part of the punishment already. Not saying I agree, but it's Seabrook and the playoffs, so.......

NBC needs to can Milbury....for the sole reason that he's too predictable in his analysis on Bruin and Pen hits. Doesn't even shake it up for ratings. Sheesh.

Yeah I agree. Milbury adds nothing to the broadcast. Roenick is not much better. Keith Jones is the best of the bunch - which isn't saying much. It's a real shame NBC doesn't make a better effort to get some real talent on the air.

That's a general problem across all of NBC

Roenick again floats Seabrook hasn't been suspended before so who knows what he will get. So everyone gets one freebie to potentially ruin a guys career or season but at least wreck him for a game or two.
