Pittsburgh (7-5-2) at Carolina (8-6-3)
The Canes took the first meeting with a 5-1 win back on 10-14. Oddly enough, that was probably the Pens' worst game of the year until last night.

Thanks Dags. I was beginning to wonder if I had somehow toggled invisible mode when I started this thread. Maybe all the stats threw people off.

Are they going to use that Staal home video EVERY time we play Carolina?

Is it just me, or is the camera zoomed in too far even for SD? It's hard to follow the play at all.

As usual yes it is. The only game I've seen this season with the correct camera work was in LA.

Gotta like the Penguins responding to a whipping last night by a decent first few shifts.
Looks like they came out ready to play.

Crosby has 3 shots in the last 5 games, per Paul S.
Ok, does Crosby have a bet about having a good shooting % or what?

Great move by Crosby. Too bad no one was around to capitalize on it.

What are the odds? All that breaks loose and neither Orpik or Cole are on the ice.

I really really like Max Talbot.
I also really like Chris Thorburn. Is there anyone this kid won't fight?
They should have sent Thorburn after Mcgratton last night. Thorburn might not have won, but it probably would have at least kept me awake.
I like the way the Penguins have started this game. They are playing like they were when they were winning.

And that is why who have your fighter as a forward. Thornburn just took off one of the Canes better defensemen for 5 minutes.

He has a wicked shot, he scored some "goal-scorer" goals last season.

Here we go. 4:00 for a high stick on Moore. Penguins will have an extended power play forthcoming after Talbot get's out.

The refs gave Talbot the extra two for bumping Ladd.
