Is it time to induct Armstrong into the Toby Peterson "great in a short stint one season, then crap the next" Hall of Fame?

Induct or indict?

I don't think so. Niittymaki made a very good save on him for one thing. For another, Armstrong had a better, longer run than Peterson and he's still a useful player when he isn't scoring.

Shots are 31-10. Niittymaki is playing a fine game.

I'll never quit on Army but those are the chances that he put away in a hurry last season. He will find that scoring touch again reallll sooonnnnn.

Unheard of... they're going to have to allow an awful lot of shots in the third to get this game on par for a normal shot total.

Yeah, but to be fair to Army, look close at the reply. Niitty gave him NOTHING to shoot at. He did get it through the pads and got it to trickle wide. I thought maybe the 5 hole was open but on the replay you could see the goal stick paddle was covering that well.

The Flyers are having a great game from their goalie and that's the ONLY reason they are down 2-1.

he had 7 powerplay goals (of 16) last year. seems like Malkin arriving and Recchi coming back have taken some crucial minutes from him. i'd like to see him out there instead of recchi AT ALL TIMES. at least until he gets his touch back.

This has been a very fairly officiated game. I like this crew. They are calling what needs to be called. I have not diagreed with anything yet. And look how exciting the game is (from either perspective) when the refs don't take it upon themselves to be utterly ridiculous.

That was one hell of a pass from Michel Ouellet. When he let it go, I thought it was a dump in. Good job by LeClair to catch it and drive the cage.

That was a pretty blatant trip. I would love to read some tears about that call.
