Incidentally, the play about Jagr is not the only recent "hockey-related" Czech art. A few years ago, there was a modern hockey opera "Nagano" played in the Czech National Theater (sort of an equivalent of New York Metropolitan Opera) - and it was quite successful. Here are a few excerpts:

Part 1: Hasek beats a Canadian:

Part 2: A Canadian beats a puck:

Part 3: Hasek stops Lindros during the shootout against Canadians:

Part 4: Hasek beats a bunch of Russians and then Svoboda scores the GWG in the finals against Russia - probably the funniest!

If it's about Jagr, why does the actor look like Jiri Slegr?

Czech Press Agency made a 4-minute "trailer" video about the play (scroll half-way down):

(you will be able to see Jagr, Lemieux, and even Andrea (in bed) :) )

A mixed review of the play came in from a group privileged critics who got a sneak preview. Most agreed that while the play was entertaining, the actor playing Jagr seemed like he was "dying alive" on stage.
