And I question whether Jagr is a team player anymore or ever was. Didn't he decline the captaincy last year as a Ranger... for what reason... he's been in the league 10 years now and still doesn't understand what it means to be a team player maybe. He's an awesome player to watch and would be great for a team that needs to add 1 more piece to a Stanley Cup team like with the Pens in the 90's, but he's not going to be a cornerstone anymore, nor was he ever with us -- and he proved that by ditching us when he could and times were tough.

LONG LIVE SIDNEY THE KING!!!

I can't say I'm familiar with that situation or the circumstances surrounding it. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

The captaincy is a great responsibility. Is it not Jagr's prerogative to decline? If he's not up to the task, I have more respect that he had the courage to say so, and allow someone that's suitable to lead the team to be the captain.

The best player on the team, doesn't always a captain make.

We'll just have to agree to disagree, except for what you said about Sid the King. :D

Rags announcers just remarked every time a Penguin gets knocked to the ice the fans want a penalty and this was after Ekman was cross checked in the back when setting up a shot.

For those not watching and don't know what's going on by the ranting and raving:

Recchi (3) from Gonchar (12) and Crosby (18) on the power play at 6:56

Shanahan (15) unassisted at 10:31

6:41 to go, 2-1 Pens...

Yeah, they do that a lot. Gotta wonder about that brain trust the NHL employs.

if your MT why in he!! would you put Whitney out there when Shanny is out since Whitney always wants to give it to Shanny. after about the 3rd time of handing Shanny the puck wouldn't you get Whitney away from him as fast as can?

Sorry, but that was a really weak call. He touched, didn't even lift, but touched his hands with his stick for maybe...a half a second.
