And I question whether Jagr is a team player anymore or ever was. Didn't he decline the captaincy last year as a Ranger... for what reason... he's been in the league 10 years now and still doesn't understand what it means to be a team player maybe. He's an awesome player to watch and would be great for a team that needs to add 1 more piece to a Stanley Cup team like with the Pens in the 90's, but he's not going to be a cornerstone anymore, nor was he ever with us -- and he proved that by ditching us when he could and times were tough.

I can't say I'm familiar with that situation or the circumstances surrounding it. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

The captaincy is a great responsibility. Is it not Jagr's prerogative to decline? If he's not up to the task, I have more respect that he had the courage to say so, and allow someone that's suitable to lead the team to be the captain.

The best player on the team, doesn't always a captain make.

We'll just have to agree to disagree, except for what you said about Sid the King.
