This. There is a lot to be said for chemistry, and the Staal/TK/Cooke line gets pretty hot, and Letang/Eaton pinch better than any pair we have.

He hasn't really done anything to address yet (particularly in the draft) outside of a guess Sykie and Satan signings. I think we should expect more of the same on that front -- Shero simply likes big bodies with grit. I think getting a guy in the Shero mold as talented as Brown for as cheap as he's signed for is about the best that could ever be expected skill wise (under a Shero-created team).
Excellent post.

Kopitar
Moellar- he's up and coming and destined for the number two center spot unless they move him to wing.
then Staal

Don't forget about Handzus and Stoll
What about them? You're not implying they are better than Staal, are you?

This is why I didn't Mention stoll and Handzus.
Moellar is young and will be a incredibly skilled center. Kopitar is a monster.
Staal doesn't crack top two lines in that system after next year when Moellar is ready.

So even though Moeller isn't even in the NHL right now the 2nd line center spot would be his regardless?

I'm not saying it's his automatically, but for progression purposes it doesn't make sense. Even with Stoll and Handzus adding another center without getting rid of someone or having intention of converting a center to a winger, just doesn't make sense.
