Yeah... and I'd like to see the Pens more than once every 3 yrs. They used to come out here twice a year. I want to get my hands around the throat of whoever makes the NHL schedule!

that has been driving me crazy all game.

Do we have the last change?

Why do I always see Malkin out against Witt?

Steigy just used the "Flower is blooming" reference. That's officially taking a nickname too far.

The NHL took a page from Major League Baseball when it decided to go to this new schedule format. (Fleury is sick, by the way...that was just friggin' sick.)

I understand that they want to promote rivalries, but what they need to realize is that 1) rivalries can't be forced and 2) sometimes rivalries become more intense if you DON'T play the rival once a week.

This is what drives me nuts about the way the Yankees-Red Sox games have been hyped the last few years. When you see each other 19 times a year, not all the games can be these epic, knockdown-dragout, all-or-nothing slugfests that the league wants them to be. Again, it's fine if you want to give teams a lot to play for, but the rivalries will generally develop on their own.
