The day after I feel better that it is all Philly did. I felt we needed another big name impact player with a huge contract but why? For the first time in a long time Clarke stuck to his plan with the youth and didn't overreact or pay too much. Some might say Gratton and 2 2nd's is a bit much for Gauthier but Clarke has 4 2nds next year, the Rags were bidding for vs them and we can't allow them to get a edge up anymore than they already have. Now to be honest this Dimitrakos guys I don't know much about but it seems he's at least a body that isn't a career AHL'er and we need depth bad. I'm happy for the first time in years we have a nasty cheap hard hitting defenseman that will look to run guys and will drop the mits if needed. Hatcher has been great but the guy isn't the same mean player that I thought he would be. Gauthier will be though.

At the end of the day knowing that Carter, Richards, Umberger and Frank Nitti are still the core of our youth and Downie coming real soon the future looks bright.
