But Jackman has a cannon shot! And he's a righty! Surely GMs were beating down Patrick's door to get him! Who cares if he can't play D? Who cares if the power play has done fine in recent months without him playing a big role? It's not like this team has a weakness in defense or anything.

I'll take the chance on Taticek. 22 years old, big guy who can play in all three zones.

Jackman is at best a bottom pairing guy that you add when your defense is GOOD and you need some power play help. He is in no way, shape or form top 4 material.

It's not so much Jackman blew. He wasn't playing. I never understood it and was totally against him not playing. But I'm glad with the return. A former top ten pick has got some potential, even after 4 years. He'll do fine with the right tutilage.

No, Jackman DID blow. That's exactly why he wasn't playing.

He wasn't playing before because when he did play, he was twice as bad defensively as the rest of the team. He was mindbogginly bad fundamentally.

Taticek is probably a bust. He has some upside, but we'd have to get lucky.

I liked having Jackman here, but it sucks that this is the last time that someone will be able to say....
