Does the new CBA allow contracts to be restructured?

Are we screwed with Gonchar's contract for the next 4 years?

I've never seen the CBA document but according to the bullet points provided by NHL, contracts can no longer be changed. This was done so players couldn't holdout even though they were under contract and try to get a new deal.

Answer to your subject line is ABSOLUTELY NO!

Answer to your question is unless he retires, has a career ending injury, or unless we can, change his number to 77 and convince Mike Milbury he's the second comming of Paul Coffey or Phil Borque.. YES

Mad Mike's already has a contract from hell in Yashin's. Yashin's contract is up in like 2010-2011. I don't think they let Mike near a phone or fax machine anymore. :)

We are so screwed with Gonchar it's not funny.

You probably know this already, but my comments were meant to be a joke. The craziest thing in this league right now is that Milbury resigned six weeks or so ago and he's still the Isles GM????????????????????

I do like your comment on Yashin.

Maybe we could call Gonchar our own private Yashin? :-)
