Don't.
Droid 2 is right around the corner (August). Droid X is due real soon too? (like this week or next?)
Droid 2 is going to walk all over the new iPhone
And you don't need a app. the full site loads real quick. I really only use my phone to post.
Letang Is The Truth wrote:ah my bad. im not really in the know re: android OS. i was just reading the X thing today and it mentioned flash
why does one need a 1gh clock?

Thanks for the heads up on that; I can wait.

sorry. clock speed is the term used to describe a processor speed. You "clock" it at 1ghz. Or you "overclock" it to 2ghz.
Droid runs at 550MHz, by the way. But you can safely overclock it to 1GHz

The last time I overclocked a PC, I was without air conditioning.

The stuff I've read in the last 5 min, would make me want to get the Droid X over the Droid 2.

I haven't done it. I don't have too. But there is a really nice app that controls the clock speed. If it's not needed, it will run the cpu at 300 MHz. If you only need a little, it will run it at 550mhz, if it starts to overheat it will turn down the clock speed - etc.

Since you are digging into this stuff, can you point us to a compare/contrast of the 2 & X?
knives of ice wrote:the multitouch typing is worthless. its still nowhere near as good as swype.
the droid x has some impressive specs but i still wouldn't trade the evo 4g for anything just can't wait for htc to release the damn source code so the developers can really make some amazing roms for rooted phones.
