The woman at Pens gear said they will be wearing them. She could not tell me where it will be on the jerseys this year though.

Seems a little odd to me that they are wearing these and did not wear Mellon Arena Final Season patches last year.

These are pretty cool, but it irks me that the club didn't do much to celebrate the final season at the Igloo

IMHO I think the organization does not like to recognize the igloo like we do. To us it held so many great memories thats for sure. To them the building was never meant for them and a post heap compaired to other rinks around the league. It was never built for them they just inherited it. They just made the best with what they had. With all of the BS they had to go through to get the CEC built I don't really blame them. This to them was a victory for the organization and they want to be very proud of it. Now they have the best facillity in the NHL and it is built by them and meant for them. Not trying to knock the igloo but just trying to put myself in ownerships shoes.

Well put...at the very least I thought they could have made some extra $$$ off of hyping it a little more, but I can see what you're saying about them maybe being a bit ashamed of it

The patches are for sale in the Pens Gear shop. I think they are kind of ugly, so I passed.

Not only is it ugly but because the stick in the logo is sticking out the bottom, it looks horribly unbalanced. If you're not that familiar with the building you'd never know what the inside part is supposed to be. Not crazy about the red in it either.

I wish they would have educated all of the sales people. I asked one that question and the girl stared at me like I spoke in Italian...

Yeah I'm not a fan of the patch. I'm surprised they couldn't come up with something better.

If he said it in Italian and she speaks only Italian, wouldn't she have responded?
