Awesome...gotta love Pensblog.

Now that the Brooks gif goodness is growing, hopefully we can finally track down the landmine gif. The one where he's putting in his contact is pretty good, too.

Whats the story behind this "landmine" gif? I have missed it completely it appears.

It's of a US military unit in Iraq or Afghanistan rollin' down a dirt road, and an IED goes off. Except it's Orpik's "Scary Eyes" mugshot popping out of the blast. It's great...I can't believe we can't find it.
Edit:
Here's the original:

Keeping the
dream nightmare alive. Someday we will find it. Treasures to be unearthed until then.

And the sad thing is, that's not nearly the worst thing a lot of them see.

Not to go off topic (but I will anyway, because that's how I roll), the LA Times had an article today about the high level of U.S. soldier and marines suffering injuries requiring amputations - sometimes multiple limbs. Also, genital and groin injuries are up significantly.
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... 5334.storyOntopic, I can't believe the Orpik IED GIF disappeared. Maybe someone on tPb will find/recreate it.

I am pretty sure I saw it in a GDT in the past year. I'm just too lazy to look for it.
Definitely going to check out the article.
