I thought there was a tennis thread, but couldn't find it. I have determined that there should be one now that we're entering the second week of the last slam of the year

. Obviously the US Open is going. Last couple of years I wasn't really following tennis as much as I used to, mostly because Hewitt, my favorite player is largely irrelevent internationally anymore. I'm liking Donald Young a lot this in this tournament so far, he may be my next favorite. I don't really know who my favorite women's player is, probably Petkovic just because she is awesomely funny.
What prompted this though, is a question that just came to me: Does anyone still use a one handed backhand? Federer is the only one I can think of that sometimes uses it, but it seems to basically be gone. I can't even use a two handed backhand when I play, it feels both weaker and less controlled...and when I backhand i want to put slice on it and I don't even know how I would do that with a two handed shot. Is there anyone else that actually uses it other than Federer? Is it something thats mostly dead because wooden rackets are gone?
