I'll be getting it as my next phone as long as it's 4g. If it's not, I'll stay with Android.

probably no noticeable differences cosmetically other than beefed up internals (new processor and OS).. hopefully an 8 MP camera and improved antenna issues. maybe 4G? who knows.

pretty sure that there will be no LTE/4G on this phone, which is a major misstep, especially since they are upgrading the chip to whats already in existing tech (ipad2).

this could be a major "who cares" type phone, but im still holding out hope for some much needed upgrades beyond the camera and iOS (which is definitely solid, but not really worth me upgrading from the 4)

The phone itself will be a lot better. 4g doesn't bother me as much because I'm rarely in 4g coverage and I like my 3G unlimited plan. That would likely go away with the addition of 4G.

meh. not compelling enough for me to upgrade. i don't really know what else i'd like to see, but for how i use my iPhone, this wouldn't give me any more value than my 3GS

I bought an iPhone, because I wanted to give Android a few years to mature; I deal with enough software bugs in my work life....No interest in fighting a phone.
But...definitely will consider an Android phone at the end of next year.

On the Flash issue: it's a problem but less and less.
The Pens video site is an example: I used to be unable to watch videos on my phone, but now about half of them work.
It's not clear why they are inconsistent, with using Flash or HTML5 to deliver video content.

Pretty hard to do it better when it's the same thing lol. I'll say this much though, I've been dying to get an Iphone, but they haven't really done anything for me in the past years when actually looking at what the phone does.

Probably their biggest selling point is apps, and Android is catching them in that department. I'm indifferent really, and it already comes down to preference.

Yeah. i mean, faster is better. but i'm getting 2 mbps on 3G. I don't need much faster

The thing is, the 3G/4G doesn't even bother me. I'm more concerned with straight-up cell phone reception. 99% of my heavy data usage occurs when I am on my home or another Wifi network. With the death of unlimited data plans, is it really that big of a deal not having megafast data speed outside of Wifi?

Right now, I only have my iPhone for internet access.....so definitely better.
(I was dealing with a Time Warner monopoly for "high speed" access and it was horrible....Honestly, the 3G I get through tethering is often better.)

if youre gonna wait til then (or have to wait til then) you'll probably be better served to wait for the iphone6 or whatever new droid is out.

Yea, I planned on keeping my X until I hear something about the new releases in October, but I'm fairly certain that if it is what they say it is today, there's going to be an Iphone5(s).
