Well I am seeing two opposite ends of the spectrum there. The whole man card thing is laughable really, almost joke-tastic.

Then you have two people who disagree with you because you've thrown out a general insult.

I was being purposely obtuse, because it seems as though RJW's point is echoed by many LGPers

Was making a joke that I wouldn't be worthy of donning the real font of the vaunted Red Wings jersey. I'm only good for "Preseason Block."

And I'll tell the truth as to why I hate the personalized jersey. Whatever people do with their $375 is none my business. And it's also not the "you're not on the Penguins Mr. Silly #72" reason. It's the split second thought I have, "When was there a Silly on the Penguins? Early 95 maybe?" And then I feel that Silly is playing a cruel joke on me by testing my hockey recall and I hate Mr. Silly.

I'd figured you were making two points in one.

Lol, I love that; it makes me lol when it happens to me: Was "Nocupssince" really #67 for the Leafs?

The Bruins wore a special banner patch on their jerseys tonight. One night only thing. So don't sweat it.



Not sure how I feel about it. I don't hate it. I'll probably like it better when the Penguins do it next October.

I know they are auctioning game used/issued jerseys and the bracelets, but I haven't heard anything about the actual patch.

I haven't heard anything, but I sure hope they do put them up for sale. I'd love to have one.

It's funny, the Islanders introduced black into their color scheme in an attempt to tie more closely to the Mets. When on the same day, the Mets unveiled their new unis eliminating black from their color pallet.

One thing to note about the Isles new jersey is that the orange stripe around the should yoke is much thicker than the piping used on jerseys with similar fabric templates.

Everything about them is bad. I feel shame for Mark Eaton.

I would however love if the Penguins adopted that jersey template minus the shoulder yoke and stripe in an effort to regain their pre-EDGE jersey look.

- Striping pattern never worn by the team
- Vintage off white
- Jersey crest will be black felt
- Captain and assistant patches will placed on a unique keystone shape, which is odd because the rest of PA wants to annex their city to New Jersey

- Florida will be retiring the Columbia blue jerseys and will not have an alternate next season.

- Buffalo is retiring their throwback jerseys. There is a rumor that they will have a new one in black that is supposed to be similar to the black ice fashion jerseys. I'm calling BS on this rumor.

- Edmonton is retiring their navy blue and copper jerseys.

- Chicago is bringing back their all black alternate jerseys.

- Winnipeg might get a throwback alternate jersey.
