There aren't any, but that's the issue. That mentality needs to change.

Allan Walsh is a great agent, but this certainly will be interesting to see his stance, as his client (Z), was on both ends of a head shot. He has been as vocal as anyone in regards to the concussion epidemic and cleaning up the game. If Z and Hendricks didn't happen, there would be some serious fireworks from Walsh.

Z will probably get a fine.
Ovy is a repeat offender and has regularly gone after players with the intent to injure. In the past, he's also been guilty of slewfooting. Would like to see Ovy and Subban suspended for his slewfooting. That's an extremely nasty and dangerous act and as far as I'm concerned, UNFORGIVABLE. Player's careers can be ended that way.

I think a fine in this case, on that hit, was warranted. I'm not complaining, but it was probably warranted.

My concern is that this is greasing the skids for a similar punishment for Ovechkin.

Absolutely the right decision. As I said before, Hendricks tried to make a move at the last second that he was not capable of an got caught. Z had his elbow out and down trying to protect himself from the end boards. It was stupidity and his limited ability on Hendricks part that got him hit.

I understand what Pittman means. I'm sick of hearing about the hearings and shanahan and everything related to the borderline and illegal hits--it takes away from the sport for me. This isn't to say the hits shouldn't be dealt with, it's just overshadowing some otherwise great hockey
