If the rules are old school and the angel can protect themselves every single night, it's better if they reveal themselves IMO as they are pretty much invincible then. The reds know who it is, and the write up explicitly states the angel protected themselves, so it's not like they were protecting someone else.

I think it could clear up some things. But only if the rules are that they can protect themselves every night.

Also I think it's a bit B.S. that it's stated in the write up that the angel protected themselves. It should have been worded in a way that left that anonymous and just said something like, "The target was protected by the angel" thereby at least keeping some guess work on if the person is the angel or if it was just a person that was protected.

I agree, but it is what it is, and we can play off of it. The baddies know the angel. So IMO, there is nothing hurting the angel coming out IMO.

If it didn't say that in the write up, I'd say the angel should keep their mouths shut and let them think.

It's just a pretty normal/obvious tell. Baddies post right after the write up and when a role player is found out/killed they state the obvious that and I'm paraphrasing, "This is bad." No kidding it's bad, we all know it's bad, you're pointing out the obvious in an attempt to make yourself look good.

I think it could clear up some things. But only if the rules are that they can protect themselves every night.

And the only way for the angel to confirm that is to come out, which defeats the purpose. If they can't, and come out, then it makes it easier on the reds. Leave it a mystery, and the reds have to choose whether or not to waste another night kill going after the angel again. Coming out just means they won't target them again, and hurts the village.
