Phaneuf sold the crap out of that, but Geno has to be smarter.

it was a penalty alright, but phaneuf's mouth was somehow affected by the top of his head getting bumped there

Smarter than what? Getting it near the back of Phaneuf's helmet?

Swing your stick high like that, and you run that risk. If Geno doesn't whack Phaneuf upside the back of the head there's no call.

Now that is awesome.
Kinda wish Cooke would have "Phanuefed" a call out of that, but I guess actually getting hit in the face and drawing a 4min PP is acceptable too.

I'm not sure I like that penalty if the teams were reversed.

i'm not too fussed. it's what guys do. but without blood, a high stick counts the same whether it hits your helmet or your mouth. just grab the part that was hit next time, soccer player.

Why wouldn't Asham get a roster spot? I feel either Park or Vitale would be scratched, but that's just me.
We all know how solid Asham was last year.
I'd say that Adama,Vitale and Asham are locks to dress in the playoffs, If Sid is back then Park is the most likely to sit. Park's likely the first guy to dress if some other forwards a little dinged up.

Started to tighten things up after the first 10 minutes. Still a ways to go. Gotta punch it in with this double minor pp.

Anyone hear the discussion on the FAN this morning about some NFL guy passing om being on the Bachelor? They suggested it would be great to see Geno as the Bachelor asking the females questions and then tossing girls off the show with comments like "You go to Ovechkin" and "No ring for you". Seemed funny imagining Geno in that role.
