Hate living in DC.....

Here come the Caps....that is all I hear about now. That and how the Skins are going to be awesome.

I guess all of that talk hasn't made it outside into Maryland yet.

My friends still seem to realize this isnt the Caps year. They know they'll get bounced first round by the Rangers. People are getting excited about the Skins though, and I do think they'll be pretty solid next year.

was that before or after they lost 36 million of cap space over the next two year?

That will be sure to hurt them pretty good.

ehh, not really. First of all I think it will get appealed, and either lessoned or completely erased. The Cowboys 10mil penalty will hurt them more than the Skins.

Skins have obviously been spending a ton these last couple days, they aren't worried about money. Before these additions, they had 30 mil in cap space, and could restructure some guys to easily save another 20 mil. Snyder can also afford to pay ridiculous signing bonuses. In the end, I dont think it effects them much at all.

I wish they actually played in a conference where other teams actually want to win their division.

They're unraveling slower than the other teams vying for the 8 spot

Do you work for Mordor? Why the hell else would you live anywhere near DC?

Are they serious? Do they actually follow hockey? The Caps are going to get stomped.

Besides sports fans her, DC is a nice place to live. If you ever want a good laugh, listen to Lavar and Dukes try to talk hockey......it is pretty sad really.

I hated living in DC, if only because of the traffic and the sheer amount of urban sprawl. On my commute into Philly, I get to drive through a ton of woods and secluded areas. Not so much when I lived in DC. Good nightlife and things to do though.

Agreed. I listen to them every day just for the laughs. Arrington might be the most hypocritical sports radio personality. His Cam Newton discussions are the best.

I can't understand anyone wanting to live near Philly. I go up there twice this year for business and it's such a miserable city. The history of the city is the only great thing about it.

Philadelphia actually has a soul, unlike DC.

I've lived in both. :)

Agree with both columbia and shmenguin. That's actually why I like Philly better than DC. DC is a city of transplants. The vast majority of people that live in DC moved there for work. As such, there is really no "cultural" side if you don't count the government-run Smithsonian stuff and whatnot.

As much as I dislike a lot of Philadelphia denizens, the city and surrounding areas is a great place to live. The Main Line suburbs, South Philly, University City, the Art Museum area...just a lot of really cool, unique places. The closest DC gets to having a cultural side is Chinatown.

I see what you're saying, but I love that DC is a mixture of so many different types of people from all over the place.

Then again, maybe my thoughts on DC were spoiled by the fact that I lived in the area that had approximately a 98% Spanish-speaking population. I'm pretty sure I lived in the heart of MS-13 land.
