My friends still seem to realize this isnt the Caps year. They know they'll get bounced first round by the Rangers. People are getting excited about the Skins though, and I do think they'll be pretty solid next year.

ehh, not really. First of all I think it will get appealed, and either lessoned or completely erased. The Cowboys 10mil penalty will hurt them more than the Skins.

Skins have obviously been spending a ton these last couple days, they aren't worried about money. Before these additions, they had 30 mil in cap space, and could restructure some guys to easily save another 20 mil. Snyder can also afford to pay ridiculous signing bonuses. In the end, I dont think it effects them much at all.

Besides sports fans her, DC is a nice place to live. If you ever want a good laugh, listen to Lavar and Dukes try to talk hockey......it is pretty sad really.

I hated living in DC, if only because of the traffic and the sheer amount of urban sprawl. On my commute into Philly, I get to drive through a ton of woods and secluded areas. Not so much when I lived in DC. Good nightlife and things to do though.

I can't understand anyone wanting to live near Philly. I go up there twice this year for business and it's such a miserable city. The history of the city is the only great thing about it.

i think philadelphians are terrible, but living near philly is great. this area has a lot to offer.

Agree with both columbia and shmenguin. That's actually why I like Philly better than DC. DC is a city of transplants. The vast majority of people that live in DC moved there for work. As such, there is really no "cultural" side if you don't count the government-run Smithsonian stuff and whatnot.

As much as I dislike a lot of Philadelphia denizens, the city and surrounding areas is a great place to live. The Main Line suburbs, South Philly, University City, the Art Museum area...just a lot of really cool, unique places. The closest DC gets to having a cultural side is Chinatown.
