Was thinking the same thing. They look so soft out there tonight.

Since they had just called a penalty before they could not possibly call that one, right?

It looked like his shot was going over the net too

I like Nabokov getting cocky. Pens will be pissed and bring him down to earth hard.

Seeing pat mac like that gives me the willies--I remember doing beer bongs with him after frat parties on numerous nights back in school--such a decent kid.

Still lots of time left. Not like we haven't had our chances either. Definitely would like the over-passing to stop though.

Seeding isn't everything obviously...but it wouldn't be so bad to make the ride less bumpy....

Game's not over by any means. We've seen lots of Pens/Isles games in recent years where the Isles struck early but the Pens wore them down eventually. If the Pens keep playing like they did in the first eventually they're going to bust through. First goal was kind of flukey, second one was a total softie, Fleury's going to need to be a wall and make up for that one.

Both involved bad bounces, too. First goal goes off the outside of the post, straight back, and out the other side; second goal changes direction off the tip of Fleury's glove, and in.
On the bright side, they've got the Isles right where they want them!

I guess since Cooke scored 7 goals in his last 7 I guess it makes sense to keep him off the ice as much as possible.

I watched that in the pregame, can't do it again. Broke down seeing him overseas smiling and fully healthy. Some of my closer friends are in the military and I think I've just gotten used to it, sometimes not fully thinking of what they do amd go thru. Hoping for the best for him and his family and awesome to see the Pens raise his spirits so much

This game isn't over yet. We had 17 shots and it's not like the Isles dominated. We will get an early goal.
Oh and just copy and paste this in every game day discussion post: need to shore up our defensive positioning and play/toughness around our own net.
