well you see a guy playing for the islanders takes this thing made of rubber, and with sheer force and will shoots that object into some type of netting. This happened 5 times...
They are giving up a gazillions chances nightly. You cannot be thrilled with that trend.
You also can't expect MAF to stand on his head every single game. They are leaving him out to dry. He's been our MVP (next to Geno of course), but he won't be able to keep that up.

Pretty much. MAF's had a terrible night, and the Penguins are playing their typical "lack of defense" hockey.
Spoiler:
And I bet the Pens in Pro-Line tonight... KISS OF DEATH! How do you think Detroit's home win streak got broke earlier this season?

Hence why these type of games are called wake up games. To get you out of a "we can do no wrong mentality"
The "it's just one game crowd" - it's really not just one game, they've been sloppy with D for a while now and it's starting to bite them. This is the third game in the last week they've given up four or more goals. It's a legitimate concern for this team, they need to tighten things up before the playoffs, especially since they're likely headed to a match-up with one of the few teams that can hang with them offensively. It's aggravating that they're losing a game to a crappy team when they desperately need the points to win the division, but that's secondary. I just want to see them playing good hockey going into the playoffs. Fortunately, they've still got a handful left after this to pull it together. This was bound to happen after the big winning streak, now they need to get re-focused.

Honestly, I personally think this is the case. There is ebb and flow all through out the season. They are in a lull right now and have been for the past few games. Fortunatley most of those were wins. Key is to refocus and hit that hot streak of sound hockey in the next two weeks.
