Not quite....this always happens. The team that is down several goals dominates zone time in the 3rd period....they got outplayed today and deserve to lose...
Yeah up by 3 in the 3rd the ice always tilts for the losers......we need to shore up the d, it's getting old.

Giving up 15 goals in three games is not a good look, bro

Not the reason for the loss but ofthe refs actually called the rules in the 3rd period we might have won. They were a joke.

I think you blame the refs literally every game the Pens lose. And some they don't since I distinctly remember you whining about them recently and we havn't lost many in the last month or so.
ITS NOT ALWAYS THE REFS FAULT! THEY ARE HUMAN! PENS GET THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TERRIBLE CALLS FOR AND AGAINST!

The Pens actually had the chances to tie this one up. Still, this is what happens when you wait that long to really get involved in a game. This happens a lot when the Pens play the Isles. The Isles always seem to come to play from the start and the Pens need a couple periods until they decide to start.
Another wake-up call game, they really need to get focused on playing good hockey going into the playoffs. Whatever happens with the seedings happens. If they play the way they've played since Sid came back, they aren't going anywhere. My fear always was that they'd stop doing the things they did in the absence of all these guys that allowed them to be successful despite all the injuries.

Well, Thiessen played a solid period, but does anybody really think he's ready for an NHL playoff series? We'd better hope Fleury is all right.

You're right, 8 or 9 more powerplays and we might have tied it up.

Big Wild fan right now, the Pens need the Rangers to lose this one to realistically still have a chance at the division.

I do like appreciate the hustle at the end and HCDB not just throwing the game away while down by 3.

I'd rather get these bad games out of the way now, than have them in the playoffs.

The pens just plain sucked tonight. They need to address the long shifts on the pp. maybe start staals unit first since he understands what a shift is supposed to be and let malkin and Sid pass it to each other for the remaining minute.

I'm blaming the score keepers. All they had to do was make a mistake on the team that scored 1 goal and this thing is in OT. Then we surely win it.

If we were counting on a Wild win, we were already out of contention for # 1.

That depends if the pens want to keep trying to play loose, fast break kamikaze hockey or not.

Pathetic...
The Penguins are actually reminding me of the Steelers right now with their ability to beat the hell out of the good teams but lay eggs against the mediocre teams.
And when the Pens remind me of the Steelers... no one wins.

It's never a good thing when Johnson isn't ready to go.

The phrase "no one wins" reminds me of the Pirates.

typical. pens lose, world is ending and the bandwagon gets lighter. pens win, and all is right with the world, bandwagon gets heavy again. it was a stinky game to be sure, one of maf's worst, but it happens. this team still has what it takes, all u have to do in the playoffs is go 16-12.
