I actually don't mind this. Guy committed two major no's. No #1: Don't hit the goalie. Big No #2: Don't hit the head. He did both. Shanny can't go back in time and suspend Lucic so at least he's doing something about this now.

His history indicates that no, he isn't. This was another arbitrary punishment.

I get the concern over the lack of consistency, but why gripe when he actually does the right thing?

Smith did a hell of a job acting... it's obvious Shaw's intention wasn't to lay a body check on Smith, considering he's smart enough to not purposely put his team shorthanded (i would hope)
