Haha...Hope Jr beats him back on dry land...love how he is dumping a string just to mess with him. Looking forward to the next episode.

Spoiler:
Love how Elliot was talking about Seabrooke being 'secretive' and saying something along the lines of 'lets go up there and find out'.. and then deny deny deny. LOL

Very little wizard action this time..

Agreed, I mean hooooly crap. I know these guys are tough on eachother but yikes.

Is Jake Harris really that bad of a fisherman that he couldnt throw the hook for **** on the NW? I mean, they said hes been on a boat the last 8 birthdays so you'd think he'd know what to do now. Maybe it just took him awhile to get used to it, idk. I hope he succeeds on that boat.

I wouldn't be too upset if neither of the Harris boys were on the show next season.

I have to wonder if the entire sequence with Jake was staged. He went from hitting nothing to magically nailing every throw.

Spoiler:
I dont remember how much he was on hook on the CM or where all the equipment was located. They mentioned he basically had to throw underhand and snap it out instead of overhand and rainbowing it overhand. I would think that would take some getting used to. Like going from a baseball pitch to a fast pitch softball pitch.

The end of the episode got cut off for me on my DVR, i just Juniors ship get turned broadside and then it cut out. Does anything happen after? I saw it said something about the Bering Sea will claim victims or something?

Didn't really go into anything more, that I saw. Just kind of left it hanging. What the hell was he thinking waiting so long to go to shelter on just one engine?

Will there be a mid-season break before Opies? I can't remember a break happening before.

Yeah I dunno.. He keeps saying you cant do anything if you don't take risks.. seems stupid to me. Especially when your down an engine, was so concerned with just getting out of the harbor without hitting the beach, etc. etc. to be so brash and cocky about not needing to get shelter and doing whatever it takes to 'make his name'. dumb.

111107-G-0000A-001-FV Wizard radio call
KODIAK, Alaska - Communications Station Kodiak watchstanders receive a call for a medevac of a 28-year-old man from the 150-foot Seattle-based fishing vessel Wizard 60 miles north of Cold Bay Nov. 7, 2011. A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter safely hoisted and transported the man to emergency medical personnel in Cold Bay. U.S. Coast Guard audio by Communications Station Kodiak.

Who made the call to the Coast Guard? Doesn't sound like Keith.

On second thought, I guess that was Keith.

If the Kodiak and Ramblin' Rose were never on the show again, I would be happy. Can't stand either of those boats... annoying captains and lame crews.

x2

Opies looks like it could be bad. Time Bandit with another guy in the water at the dock, whats up with those guys! That fall looked like it hurt and the boat was being tied to dock so maybe not much room down there. Should be a good episode.

Opies did you see the finger in the teaser? Geesh.

Question about the last episode:

Was that the King Crab Finale? Didn't seem like everyone was finished, what gives? Did the Kodiak just have that much smaller of a quota and wasn't out to sea as long? I am trying to wrap around in my brain (it confuses me every year) how some boats have great seasons and make less money per deckhand and some boats have terrible seasons and make more...then this year there is the difference in blue vs red crabs and factoring that into the lbs total vs money and what not. Anyone have some clarity there?

The Wizard in particular still has to catch their remaining Blue Crab quota... seemed like everyone else was done except for the Ramblin' Rose... and I really hope we don't end up with an episode that is nothing but the Wizard and the RR...

Is it on at the same time next week? I'm confused. It feels like the show is taking a mid-season break but nothing has been said about it.
