Very glad to see that. Last two periods were exactly what they needed. Glad they avoided the sweep. Friday's the turning game. Flyer's will attempt to adjust and use this as just a bump in the road. Pens win, then it starts to get interesting...

Any bets on how many games Cooke gets?
That's not even funny!
But sadly in the new NHL its not far from reality... If at all. I should wait to see what Shanahan thinks of those two cross checks to cooke's back.
I can hear the video explanation now. "Cooke gave the opponent a vicious chest-butt to the stick, and that's a play we're trying to take out of the game."

Pens are undefeated when scoring more goals than their opponents.
Not only that, but they're undefeated when they win.

And how many did Philly score on the power play?

One step at a time, Friday's game is game 7 part 2. They lose that one, makes tonights game just a nice little memory that in the end didn't mean a whole lot.
The goonery in game 3 might have been the turning point of this series, however. As a result, the refs called this game a lot tighter and it seemed to benefit the Penguins. We will see Friday if they continue to call it like they did tonight.

My 1 year old daughter learned how to walk during the first period. I took that as a sign.

I know that this is somewhat misleading statistic, especially when taken out of context, but on 8 separate occasion this year the Pens have had winning streaks of 3 or more games. Just saying..

there will be alot of outlandish comments as we are all feeling pretty damn good for a nite. but if the pens win the goalie battle from here on out, look out. goals now 23-22 flyers. crazy.

...to summarize Matt Cooke is a repeat offender of the worst kind and Pavel Kubina faked an injury very convincingly during the play. The department of player safety has decided to kick Matt Cooke out of the NHL and award Pavel kubina a Purple Heart.

Win was all that more impressive since they were missing Adams , Neal as well as being hampered by having Martin out of the lineup(

So...over/(under) number of games Rinaldo gets suspended? Keep in mind he's a repeat offender
- 2 fines for actions during game vs NJ in February
- 2 games for hit on Jonathan Ericsson
I'm going with 4, what say you?

I'm intersested in Giroux hitting O5rpik in the back of the head with his stick. It sure didn't look accidental.
Neal was fined $2500 for this similar high stick:

Never noticed before, but it looks like Subban pulled Neal's jersey back.

I've just never seen anything like this in my life of watching sports. ANY sport. I'm celebrating tonight cuz I dont have to get up early tmw, and I will believe on Friday. Such a big hill to climb but I've never seen a bigger first step than this. Go PENS. For the love of God, GO PENS.

Tonight highlights why it's so frustrating that the Pens are in the spot they're in. Philly's goaltending sucks. It's really unfortunate that they haven't truly been able to take advantage of it until tonight. Fleury and the Pens' D have been even worse.
I will say this, if they had just won by a normal score I don't think this matters in the slightest. Winning in this fashion could start to put some doubt in Philly's mind and could really crack Bryzgalov, who's been bad to begin with. If the Pens play smart and avoid penalties, they've legitimately got a shot. It's just that it's hard to believe they can play another game like this, let alone three more. For the Pens to have any chance, they must stay out of the box. They have no answer for the Philly PP. It's really been the special teams that have decided this series. This is the first night that the Pens won the special teams battle.
