Was Fleury in net tonight? Didn't notice. I thought it was that other guy. What's his name... Thibault or something?

Just kidding. Nice job Fleury! Good to have you back

He needed to steal a game for his team. They played better defense, but offensively they were just okay and took way too many penalties. Let's hope Sunday is the best of both worlds; great play from Flower, and much more from the Malkin line.

Yes, it was nice to see the Cup Fleury back. Stealing a game for the Pens.

Here is hoping he doesn't continue his play of the last 2 playoffs, where he comes out and lays an egg in a crucial game.

Where is that debbie downer pic? lol

Saw his post game interview when I got home. He was extremely appreciative of the "Fleury!" chants.

From ESPN

After the game, Pittsburgh owner Mario Lemieux, often visible but hardly an everyday presence in the locker room, walked through a nearly empty locker room and bent down to chat briefly with his netminder, who was still sitting at his stall in his pads. Lemieux shook Fleury's hand in what might have been a gesture of thanks, which, on this night, was the overriding sentiment of Penguins fans everywhere.

I never doubted the flower. He has proven to all of us how clutch he is. I would rather him in a big game then any other goalie in the nhl. Now that he has his confidence back watch out. Flower power baby!

Yeah he had an incredible game. They panned to him in with a closeup in the 3rd period and you could just see a smile on his face.

Awesome.

The fact that the team needed him to be elite last night, and he came through, could be seen not only on his face, but every other player, coach, fan, and evidently owner. Flower needed to steal a game in this series, and he just did. Now, forget it and move on.

His performance was just unreal and the main reason we hung on. The only issue I see is our overall defensive play needs to improve. Fleury may not be able to make saves like that ALL the time. The team needs to take some of the pressure off the Flower so he doesn't have to stand on his head on a consistent basis to win.

That being said, what a performance. MAF made me and my friends night. The Flyers have to be puckering some now.

Pretty funny, he was all smiles saying they were even cheering me for easy saves.

To me, the best part of his performance last night was he could've crumbled after the 1st. A post to start the game...another PPG for Philly...and another PPG for Philly could've shaken him a bit. Instead, he came out in the second and played solid, then took over in the third. It's almost eerie to have seen his confidence just keep growing the last 2 games. You can see it, plain as day...and so can his teammates, coaches, and fans...so, too, can the Flyers.

I think Fleury and solid D go hand in hand because he raises his play whenever he feels confident in the guys in front of him. He was unreal last night.

The jump over the puck from Talbot to big save on Hartnell made my pants tight.

I was going to mention it but I couldn't remember who did what on that play. That was amazing. I mean, he was in the zone.

He gets an A- for last night (the minus being for a soft goal). That raises his grade for the series from F to C-. It's subjective and arguable, of course, so what grades would you assign?
