Say what you want about Jagr but after a bad second half of the season he really showed up this series. That line was unstoppable.

really hated the afternoon game - both teams suck in the afternoon, but the pumped up crowd really helped philly come out fast. The penguins couldnt keep the puck on the stick, just werent going to get a bounch doing that, the flyers really went to the penguins net hard, even pushing flower into the goal when the rule allowed it.

Go whoever plays against the Flyers. Hope they get swept in the next round. What a disappointing season.

Filly has now defeated the Pens 4 times in 6 post season series......guess that makes Filly better.....

Oh well. Thanks Pens for an exciting season. I hope your off season golf balls hit the hole a hell of a lot better than your pucks hit the net. See yinz all next season.

ALWAYS A PITTSBURGH PENGUINS FAN.....GO PENS!!!

When you have two straight years of playoff failure, the leadership has to come into question. In this case, i hope mario thinks before he drops the axe. I would be ok with one more year of hcdb, but mario is the one that has to make that decision.

Now that the Penguins are out of it, I don't care. I don't really want Philly to win, but not a whole lot of emotion exists for the remaining teams.

I would take a Caps Cup over a Flyers win every day of the week. The Flyers winning the Cup is the single worst Pittsburgh sports result. I'd rather the Caps win 5 straight Cups before the Flyers win one.

Your ability to completely take things out of context is incredible. Get lost, blue jersey

If I do get lost, I bet Giroux we'll find me. His navigational skills are beyond belief.

It'll be really difficult to find the 300lb one toothed gumpy in the stretched out pens sweatshirt

Don't worry, Giroux will have no trouble finding your wife. He's the best.

Yeah, pretty insulting.

Welcome to tampa bay 2005-2008

So we get to suck and then draft a guy like Stamkos and only get Richard trophies? Wonderful.

Some teams are built around stars who garner lots and lots of scoring trophies...but cannot find the necessary chemistry to excel in the playoffs. Unfortunately, this MAY be the Pens best description.

You draft well...get superstars, but FAIL to surround them with the talent needed to win in the PLAYOFFS. You overspend on some areas (CENTER, I will say until they unload one of these players), ignore others to their detriment.

Top goalie sucks in the series...top-2 stars almost invisible for long stretches...defense is soft...NO veteran leadership. PERIOD...

Massive changes are needed...a lot of dead-weight on this team.

Off-Season Changes:
  • MAF isn't going anywhere, so maybe it's time to get a goalie coach that can actually improve his game.
  • Get at least 2 shutdown/defensive defensemen.
  • Get a capable backup. I don't want to head into next season relying on Thiessen to back up Fleury.

Couldn't disagree more. This team has been molded around three centers. This is what a healthy lineup built around three centers was able to do in the playoffs. The Flyers blew up their roster last summer but won with tenacity and depth....something the pens could not match.

I don't care what anyone says....a healthy lineup....another first round exit....it's time to $&@?ing retool. Maybe it's time to part with DB and go in a different direction......maybe it's time to move 71 or 87 and bring in some more offensive depth. Something has to be done because clearly this team is not built for playoff success.

Lets Go Rangers, Bruins - please beat Philly

Duh, couldn't be more obvious. Talk is cheap, results count. Got to give Holmgren credit (even though I hate too).

The Caps mean nothing to me compared to the Flyers. Seeing them win is a minor annoyance. Seeing the Flyers win is soul-crushing.
