So who comes out of the East?

Postby MarioLives on Thu Apr 26, 2012 7:46 am

Please tell me it won't be the Caps......is there any chance they ride this system and hot goalie all the way? Something seems strange with this team, OV barely plays and they are playing like to Devils of old....boring trap hockey.

I want the Rangers to win. As I mentioned in the other thread, I like Torts. Whining and all.

Who do I think will win. Rangers (if they get past Ottawa). If not, the Caps.

I'm guessing the Flyers or Rangers.

I honestly wouldn't mind the Caps coming out, but most hot goalies that are otherwise unproven eventually cool off, usually during the Conf Championship.

I'm just hoping not the Flyers.

They played their Cup Final in round one. Hard to come out of a series like that without a bit of a let down. We'll see how they respond, but they also have had trouble with most teams all year long.

I would think that the Caps could be dangerous, but not as much to hate on that team, these days... AO isn't the villian he used to be.

I just want one of the 4 remaining West teams to win the cup at this point.

x2.

Anyone but Philly or Washington will suffice though. Caps arn't as hated as they used to be, but its easy to forget to hate a team that wasn't even in the playoff picture this season. Imagine if all those fools down in DC are given a Championship team and Fat Teddy starts blogging about how destiny has finally been achieved... they'll get as pretentious as they've ever been in a heartbeat.

Don't get me started on Philly!

These semi finals should be burtal in a very enjoyable way.

I got the Rangers though, best team left in the playoffs.

Rangers are the best team left, the Devils are the worst.

So I'm picking the Devils.

The Flyers not getting it done in the Finals again would be great.

I'm rooting for the Rangers (a hat trick of Stanley Cups for the Staal family) or the Kings (it'd be a slap in the face of Holmgren and Flyers fans if Richards and Carter raised the Cup. Even better if they beat Philly in the SCF).

Caps. I really like the way this club is playing. Winning one goal games. Best goaltending of the teams left in the East. I like Dale Hunter and the way he's handled the prima donnas. Ovi doesn't get as much ice as he used to. He's not afraid to sit vets for lackluster play. Hell, Semen was even blocking shots. Kinda sounds like whats needed around here. These guys are all buying in and that could be trouble for the rest of the east. With that said...I still hate them, and hope they lose in the finals.

It would be, but i dont see them getting there. Looking forward to the Cryers playing a team with a structured defensive game. They wont be getting into shootouts with the clubs that are left. They have the worst goaltending of the teams that are left in the east, and to be honest their D game was lousy against Pens until game 6.
